PA KinConnector (KinConnector.org) is a nonprofit supporting over 200,000 children being raised by their relatives when their parents are unable to do so.  

For the Kinship Month Summit 2025, we created a series of films profiling five unique family stories of grandparents raising their grandchildren. These five films feature varied emotionally fraught reasons that these grandparents gained custody, ranging from incarceration, drug addiction, and death of their loved one.

The one thing these children have in common besides the early trauma they experienced, is the unbridled love of their kin.
